Join Scott Woods and his talented band for this up-lifting 2-hour live family-friendly show celebrating the Christmas season. Enjoy lots of your favourite Christmas carols, Canadian fiddle tunes, as well as Traditional country songs, fancy instrumentals, sweet harmonies, smooth vocals, sensational step dancing, family humour, inspirational stories, and of course some trick fiddling. Scott Woods, known affectionately as “The Flippin’ Fiddler”, is a two-time winner of the Canadian Open Fiddle Contest, two-time winner of the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Championship, and Fiddle Entertainer of the Year.He will keep you entertained with his keen wit, his prowess on the fiddle, and his amazing tricks. Scott’s sister, Kendra Woods Norris, a multi-instrumentalist and Canadian Duet Champion (as well as having won several solo classes at the Canadian Open Fiddle Contest in her age categories) will be joining Scott on stage, playing piano, accordion, harmony fiddle and singing.Steve Piticco, the “Telecaster Master”, (who has been named Canadian Country Music Association’s Guitar Player of the Year, Instrumentalist of the Year and BZluegrass Award winner for Flat-Picker of the Year), will be adding his amazing talents with his distinctive “tele sound”. Also in the band this year, will be Kurk Bernard (part of the Canadian Country Music Band, South Mountain), playing bass and adding some smooth vocals. 16-year old Canadian Junior Step Dancing Champion Leo Stock, also known as “Spaghetti Legs”, will be returning to the stage to play drums, fiddle, and sing, and to wow audiences with his energetic step dancing. The Scott Woods Band offers so much variety in their shows – there is “something for everyone”!
